British tourists went to Turkey along the path of Russian and German vacationers

British tourists have chosen the path of Russian and German vacationers in Turkey

British tourists, following Russian and German ones, are rapidly reorienting themselves to all inclusive hotels in Turkey. Such a statement appeared in the report of the Association of British Travel Agencies (ABTA) “ABTA Holiday Habits 2022”. The Turkish media that analyzed this report indicated that the UK has become the fastest growing market in Turkey – therefore, the main trends need to be paid attention to.

The first trend they point to also completely coincides with the Russian one – the main criterion for choosing a holiday destination for tourists is the price. It is by this criterion that about 63% of British tourists choose their holiday destination.

But one of the main points of the changing preferences of British holidaymakers in Turkey was the growing interest in the all-inclusive system, which was previously preferred only by Russian and German tourists. Approximately a third – or 34% reported that the availability of “all inclusive” is taken into account by them when choosing a vacation.

The experts also noted another reason that is pleasant for the tourist industry. Since the end of the pandemic, independent tourism has again declined. ABTA Chief Executive Officer Mark Tanzer said: “Tourists once again need the experience of travel professionals when booking package tours. This trend will continue in the coming period. This fact shows the necessity and importance of travel agencies.”
