Charter flights from the United States, which were previously banned, begin to Cuba

Previously banned charter flights to Cuba from the United States begin

Thanks to “a series of measures to increase support for the Cuban people” undertaken by US President Joe Biden, in the US, charter programs to Cuba may be expanded. In particular, the possibility of restarting charters will expand.

So, in connection with the bans imposed by the previous President Donald Trump, charters to Cuba were actually banned. Charter flights were allowed only to Havana. After that, during covid times, charters were basically closed.

According to the latest regulations, the right to charter flights “can be granted to different points.” Educational, group and other travel formats are also allowed.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry generally approved the application. It was said to be “a step in the right direction”, albeit a limited one.
