Egypt is planning to solve financial difficulties and circumvent sanctions that have canceled the possibility for Russian tourists to use Visa and Mastercard cards abroad. This was stated by the CEO of the Egyptian Banking Company (EBC) Tarek Raouf, speaking at SPIEF-2022.
According to him, in Egypt, the National Payment Card System (NSPK) is working hard to launch acceptance of payment system cards « World”. “Russian tourists are very important for us, for Egypt. Therefore, we are currently working with NSPK together in order to be able to accept their cards in Egypt,” said a representative of the banking sector in Egypt.
