A Russian travel agent sent a tourist on a week-long tour in November to one of the hotels located in the popular complex in Hurghada, and said that he was not happy with his stay in the supposedly renovated hotel. She shared the details on her blog on Yandex.Zen.

We are talking about the famous huge Golden five complex, which before the coronavirus pandemic was a group of hotels connected by a common infrastructure and a beach. “Unfortunately, the crises one after another led to the fact that the hotels of the complex were closed. Over time, renovation began there, rebuilding, and now one of the hotels began to receive guests – Blend Aqua Club, ”explained the expert and added that the traveler once rested in the complex and then he liked everything. This time, he did not choose a fundamentally new one and chose the same complex to refresh his impressions.

However, the impressions were not the same as the first time. Here is his story about the trip: “The rest was not bad, but everything is quite old and shabby. Furniture breaks, cracks, rattles or falls apart. The food is ok but I would recommend going to the restaurant early to eat. The hotel itself doesn't offer much, 2 simple pools, that's it. The bus to the beach and the water park runs regularly, reaches the destination in less than 5 minutes. The water park has cool slides, but they are also very old and badly damaged by the sun. Therefore, riding them is not as pleasant as new ones with good coverage. The hotel staff are nice and helpful, even without a tip if you are friendly and don't treat them like servants.

There are several hotels around the Blend Aqua Club, some of which are in the process of being renovated, others are empty, so around construction and bustle. The evening animation program at the hotel is varied and takes place on an impromptu stage with tables and chairs in front. The “bar” is a table with bottles and an employee who pours drinks into cups in the dark. In general, it was fine, but I wouldn’t fly there a second time.”
