As a result, this Easter week we will reach the peak level of 2019,” said Thomas Schnalke, CEO of Düsseldorf Airport. He also assured tourists that the airport has “thoroughly prepared for the operational difficulties that may arise.”

About 800,000 passengers are expected to depart Düsseldorf Airport during the two-week Easter holiday period between Friday, April 8 and Sunday, April 24th. In general, 6600 landings and takeoffs are expected. This is 5 times more passengers compared to the same period last year.
