“Hotels and guest houses of state institutions that are closed due to winter season, will be allocated to citizens affected by the earthquake. We, as a ministry, are doing our best,” the Foreign Minister said.
Having reported on the offer of assistance – and it was offered by teams from 76 countries and many have already begun to act, teams from 36 countries arrived, including Russia, Mr. Cavusoglu explained about the hotels. “We started a study to provide people with temporary accommodation opportunities in different cities. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, coordinated the work on the ground, and we worked on accommodation in hotels in the Antalya and Mugla region,” the minister said.
He also reported that work in Antalya started on Tuesday morning, covering Antalya, Alanya and other resorts. As a result, 51 thousand places were allocated for the evacuees and those left homeless.
