The unofficial capital of Turkey will become the most popular foreign destination for Russians this winter: in the last quarter of 2022, the demand for Istanbul from Russian tourists may at least one and a half times exceed the volumes of last year. Such information from ATOR is actively reprinted by the Turkish media. The reason is clear – air and other sanctions that closed the usual vacation in Europe for most tourists. In addition, at least 9 airlines from 16 Russian cities, as well as charters, are scheduled to fly to Istanbul.
Thus, Aeroflot and Turkish Turkish Airlines will continue to fly to Istanbul – the latter operate five flights a day from Moscow. The second major Russian carrier, S7 Airlines, will also return to the route. He said that he would resume foreign flights after a six-month break and fly to Istanbul from November 1. The flights were also announced by Russian Red Wings and Azimuth, Rossiya and Utair, as well as Turkish Pegasus.
Let us remind you that according to tour operators, there are no places for some of the most popular dates either in hotels in Istanbul or in airplanes.
