From October 2 , i.e. in less than a month, Russian tourists will be able to fly to Egyptian Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh from Sochi on new flights. They were announced by Rossiya, a subsidiary of Aeroflot.
A number of travel agents in the Russian market have confirmed that an increase in the number of Russian flights to Red Sea resorts during the winter tourist season is expected. This opens up new opportunities for travelers for a rich and comfortable stay on the Red Sea coast.
According to Al Masry Al Youm, the flight details are as follows:
- Sharm El Sheikh. Travelers will have flights to this resort town on the Red Sea four times a week: on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Departure from Sochi is scheduled for 17:00 pm and arrival is expected at 20:35 pm. Return flights from Egypt to Sochi will be operated at 22:10 pm. Flights will be operated on domestic Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. Prices for a one-way ticket with accommodation in economy class vary from 16,765 to 48,475 rubles.
- Hurghada. Flights on the route Sochi – Hurghada will be operated three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday. Prices start from 16,765 rubles, however, the upper limit of the cost is lower than in Sharm el-Sheikh – 20,020 rubles. Air tickets are available for sale on the Aeroflot website.
It is important to note that in recent months the Egyptian authorities have reported an increase in the number of Russian flights to Hurghada International Airport, which led to the fact that our compatriots took second place among all nationalities who come to this popular Egyptian coastal city, second only to German tourists. This fact testifies to the consistently high demand of Russians for holidays in Egypt.
Recall that in August the airline resumed flights from Sochi to Armenia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey. Domestic liners are also used for these foreign destinations.
