High demand from foreign tourists and a long weekend in Turkey in honor of the Eid al-Adha holiday have led to the fact that there are no places left in luxury hotels. This assessment of the situation was voiced by the Turkish media by the general director of one of the most luxurious hotels in Turkey, Nirvana Hotels, Korhan Alshan.
According to him, during the holidays, all hotels were completely filled already 15 days before they began. A large number of inquiries from foreign tourists and increased domestic demand for a long weekend led many hotels to stop.
“There was no room left in many properties. The growing needs of the external market, combined with the Eid al-Adha period, completely filled the facilities almost 15 days ago,” the expert said.
He also noted that approximately 60% of employment in Nirvana Hotels facilities came from foreign tourists. Accordingly, 40% were occupied by tourists from the domestic market, i.e. from Turkey.
