Russian tourists have found an alternative how to get to Crimea against the backdrop of a closed airport, without a train and personal transport

The decline in demand for Crimean resorts could be saved by well-thought-out transport programs for the comfortable delivery of tourists to the peninsula. In particular, the launch of buses from open nearby airports in Sochi, Stavropol and Mineralnye Vody. This assessment was voiced by the president of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry (OSIG) Alexei Volkov. Recall that in the hotels of the Crimea in connection with the closure of airports and other fears of tourists, a decline in demand is recorded, reaching a maximum of 80%. Hoteliers are already forced to reduce prices.

Due to the lack of air links with Crimea, hotel occupancy for May and summer turned out to be very low, and in some objects the figures for July and August began to decline. The slowdown in sales and the cancellation of existing bookings were confirmed by the tour operators Russian Express and Intourist, Alexei Volkov said. “Therefore, it is urgent to launch a bus service from the airports of Sochi, Stavropol, Mineralnye Vody, as well as increase the railway rolling stock to the Crimea. We hope that the regional authorities will support the tourism industry in difficult and objective conditions,” he added in an interview with RIA Novosti.

There is really one problem – the distance from the Crimea to the same Sochi is on average about 600 km, that is, at least 10 hours of travel, not counting traffic jams, which will certainly arise with a massive increase in road delivery. In addition, the question is the price of these transportations, as well as their safety.

Let us remind you that in order to avoid failure, hotels in the Crimea and other southern resorts reduce prices. While the decline in sales is recorded from 10 to 80%, depending on the direction, and prices have fallen to 30%. But according to tour operators, they will continue to decline.
