The Russians were told how they can now get Schengen in the three most popular countries in Europe

Due to Western sanctions, the sky of Europe for Russian aircraft is closed, but the borders of many European countries are in fact open for our compatriots, and many consulates issue visas. This means that tourists from the Russian Federation still have the opportunity to apply for a Schengen visa. The tourist channel on the Yandex.Zen platform spoke about the conditions for obtaining Schengen in the top three most popular countries in Europe.

Currently, visas to the Schengen states in Russia are issued by 12 EU states. According to the author, even in today's geopolitical realities, most Russians receive Schengen visas through the visa centers of three European countries – Italy, France and Spain.

How to get a Schengen visa to Italy?

Since March 1, the Italy Visa Application Center in Moscow has again opened its doors to Russians wishing to apply for a tourist visa. As the blogger clarified, in Moscow they accept documents only with registration in the capital or Moscow Region. “It is worth noting that there are two Italian visa centers in Russia – VMS Italy and Almaviva. VMS operate in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk, while Almaviva operates in Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Samara and Kazan,” she wrote.

At the same time, they are issued as primary visas, t .e. if the traveler has never issued documents before, and repeated ones. “A good percentage of visa approvals, but less than that of the Spaniards,” the author warned and noted that there are free entry windows.

What do you need to apply for a Schengen visa to Spain?

The channel clarifies that Spain has excellent statistics of approved visas, in numbers it looks like this: 95% of applicants receive their Schengen. But not without important nuances. Here is what the Russian woman drew attention to: “For example, in St. Petersburg they accept only with a certificate of vaccination, it is possible with a Russian one. It is also a mandatory requirement to have a Schengen visa for a year or more earlier when applying in any city. There are many open slots in the Spanish Visa Application Centers to make an appointment for the upcoming dates. Well, the most important plus is that almost all visas are valid for a year or more.”

What do you need to get a Schengen through France?

French Visa Application Centers began to resume accepting documents for all types of visas without restrictions last month. “Visas are issued very well, and most importantly – for long periods. According to agents, there are many visas for a period of 5 years. Also often there are visas for six months in clean passports. But here are some pretty serious problems with making an appointment to apply for a visa. There are no free windows, they appear infrequently,” the tourist warned.

If things are satisfactory with obtaining visas, then there are no direct flights from Russia to Europe. There are no direct air links with these countries and probably not in the near future. However, there is a way out: you can get to your desired destination with transfers.
