Introduction:

Located on the banks of river Godavari, Trimbakeshwar in Nashik, Maharashtra is one of the ancient Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Nashik is also one of the four cities where holy Kumbha takes place every 12 years.

How To Reach:

From Pune in Maharashtra, you can take a MSRTC Bus or a Tourist Cab to reach Nashik which will take approximately 4 hours at a distance of 213 KMS.

From Nashik Bus Stand or commonly known as Mela Bus Stand, Frequent local buses plies daily till Trimbakeshwar Temple. The distance is approximately 30 KMS and takes 40-45 Minutes.

Trimbakeshwar Temple is at a walkable distance from Trimbakeshwar Bus Stand.

Stay & Food Options:

My suggestion will be to stay in Nashik City. As you will find many Bhaktanivas or Lodges or budget hotels for your stay in Nashik at reasonable prices.

You will also get many good restaurants serving Maharashtrian, North & South Indian Dishes.

Temple Opening & Closing Hours:

Temple Timings: 5:30 am To 9 pm.

Traveller Tips:

Early morning is the best time to visit the Trimbakeshwar temple. As it gets crowded as the day progresses.
