Turkish airlines have “increased” the number of flights to Russia. Authorization for 20 additional flights has been issued. At the same time, the principle of parity continues to be observed – but still there is hope that tickets will become cheaper. This was stated in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Deputy Minister of Transport Igor Chalik.
“Literally today I signed a permit, Turkish airlines will be given permission to increase their requests. They increased it slightly, by 20 flights from Turkey,” said Mr. Chalik. He stressed that the increase was undertaken “within parity.” “We constantly analyze how many of our airlines fly to them and, accordingly, allow foreigners to fly to us,” he added. from Russia and from Turkey. In figures, this is about 450 weekly flights both from the Turkish side and from the Russian side.
