Visa-free travel to six new countries is being prepared for Russian tourists at once. Of course, we are talking about the so-called “friendly countries”, namely the countries of Latin America, but many of them are well known to tourists, including Russian ones. Specifically, we are talking about Mexico, the next paradise islands – the Bahamas, as well as Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia and Haiti.
The fact that Russia is negotiating with these six Latin American countries on a visa-free regime Alexander Shchetinin, director of the Latin American department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told TASS. First of all, he recalled that among the countries of Latin America, Russia has confirmed a visa-free regime with 27 countries out of 33.
“There are only six left. Negotiations with these countries are underway, of course,” the diplomat said. At the same time, he also called the “maximum program”: “Our goal, already announced long ago, is to make Latin America a completely zone of visa-free travel between citizens of Latin American countries and citizens of Russia,” he said.
