WHO gave up: end of pandemic expected, but after several new waves of Covid-19

“Put an end to the Covid-19 pandemic” called for the World Health Organization. According to the WHO, the number of newly reported cases is declining, it has already reached its lowest level since March 2020. However, as the head of the organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said, this decline only implies increased investment in vaccination and testing. However, it seems that the WHO still gave up and already predicts the official end of the pandemic, although not immediately, but after a series of new waves of covid.

“We have never been in a better position to end the pandemic. We haven't reached it yet, but the end is near. “We urge governments to take a hard look at their policies and strengthen it against Covid-19 and future pathogens with pandemic potential,” the WHO called. However, we note that the “covid” barriers that have paralyzed tourism since the end of winter 2020 continue to fall, even the most firmly “closed to covid” countries are fully opening. In fact, only China continues to support mass quarantine and a ban on entry and exit for tourists – from where the infection began to spread in early 2020 …
